Maureen Crane Wartski

WINC emerita


Maureen Crane Wartski, made her home in Raleigh, taught high school English and writing and conducted writing workshops throughout the country. She authored fourteen YA novels including the award winning A Boat To Nowhere and the critically acclaimed Candle In the Wind. She wrote short stories for anthologies and for Boys’ Life magazine. Her most recent book for young readers, Yuri’s Brush With Magic, was published by Sleepy Hollow Books.
