Donna Washington is a storyteller, actress, and author
who appears at schools, libraries, and conferences nationwide.
She has written and performed four one-woman shows about
historical black heroines and adapted folk tales for the
stage. She narrates picture books for Children's Press and
videotapes for Warren Coleman Communications. Her most recent
book is A Pride of African Tales, illustrated by
James Ransome.
